At then end of 2019, Laura Lake Real Estate reported that the Coachella Valley had 3.7 months of inventory in the real estate market which would be called a seller’s market. The entire year ranged from 3.3 to 4.8 maintaining our seller’s market. We consider 6 months of inventory a balanced market while anything above 6 months is a buyer’s market.
As of April 1st, 2020 we are still in a seller’s market. How is the current coronavirus crisis affecting our market? It’s hard to say right now. The numbers at the end of March still show the Coachella Valley Market is strong, but the next few months, we will see some changes, how much, we don’t know for sure yet.
